You Are AWESOME

some travel, some fun, all me
Hey, do you like to make a little more money on the side AND get rid of some things that are just taking up space and growing dustballs?
Yeah, I thought so.
Every time I go back to the USA I try to put up things on eBay to make some extra cash to spend on my travels. Sometimes things sell and sometimes they don’t. But don’t worry this isn’t an eBay post.
This is a Decluttr post! Have you heard of Decluttr? I just recently found out about it and made $25 by getting rid of things I didn’t want or need. It is seriously amazeballs. Amazeballs, dustballs …… I am seeing a ballsy theme here.
It’s so simple too. Decluttr buys CDs, DVDs, books, cell phones, Kindles, tablets, MacBooks, computer games, Smartwatches and even LEGOs! I know you have some of these gathering dust in your closets. Why not make some money on them?
I sent in CDs, DVDs and a few books. You download the App and it’s so simple, all you have to do is use the barcode scanner to see what Decluttr will pay you for it. Most books I actually only got .01 but I added them to just get rid of them. Some CDs and DVDs were only 5 or 10 cents but some I got $3.00. My Elton John – Remixed CD I got $2.24. Sweet! I believe you have to have a minimum of $5.00 of items before you can send them to Decluttr.
And, shipping is free! All you do is print out your shipping label, attach it to the box and take it to your nearest UPS location.
And I have one more exciting thing for you (and me) with this. If you click on the link, you and me will both receive $5 after you complete your first order. I am never one to say no to free money. Here is the link:

And of course, I thank you too.
So, here are the easy steps.
Let’s get going! Time to Marie Kondo your life and make some pocket money. Woot!
Writer’s Block. Ugh. You know how it goes. You have all these ideas to write and have started on a novel or a magazine article or a blog post …….. and now. STUCK. STOPPED.
It’s frustrating. Of course, we know we’ll get back to it. Soon. And then that soon turns out to be three weeks, then three months. And you’re wondering if maybe it’s all just crap. Everything you wrote is so dumb. Well, it’s not. Get back in the game. Keep writing. Just keep writing. It’s our mantra. Like Dory’s Just Keep Swimming. You – Just Keep Writing.
Some inspiration for you – me – US.
I used to make New Year’s resolutions. When I was a teen it was one of the first things I did on in the new year. Of course it was usually – get good grades, lay out my school clothes the night before (it was always so stressful to do in the morning because I was always running late, shocker), be nicer to my brother and practice new ways to do my hair and make-up. You can thank that last one to my crimped hair in high school.
Later my resolutions changed to some of the usual – exercise more, don’t go out and party during the week, detox plan and save money. I think “be nicer to my brother” was always on the list somewhere. 🙂 Past couple of years it’s been put e-book up on Amazon!!, only drink 3 nights a week, no buying more shoes and ALWAYS exercise more. And you know what always happens. You don’t keep these promises. And then you feel like shit. One more thing you didn’t do well enough, fast enough or just not at all.
Now, I do believe no resolutions are the way to go. I still know what I’d like to do better. And I’ll do them … on my own timeline. Not the NEW YEAR timeline. Because there’s already too much pressure in life. Too much stress. Make time to take a look around, enjoy life, you don’t always need to DO DO DO, GO GO GO. And I need to remember that and breathe.
I found this. It says To Do List. And that’s just it. Things to do – but more of an every day spirituality – be a good person list. I like it. Enjoy the little things.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m off to pet my cat and have a glass of wine. xo ~ k
What do y’all think? It was time for a change. Change can be good, healthy, inspiring. Gonna shake things up a bit. Try some new ideas out, get back to my more sillier side like when I started this blog.
Oh, and yes, get a new ‘do too.
Yes, this. Kneeling for social injustice. Off to buy me some new Nikes.
Happy Summer Solstice! No more classes, no more worries (ha), just me with my toes in the sand and the sun on my face. Enjoy the summer peeps!
Top O’ The Morning To Ya! And Happy St. Patty’s Day!
Are you wearing your green?
On this lovely St. Patrick’s Day of 2018 I thought I would share my experience from Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse. What exactly is this you ask? It is a lovely brewery experience taking you through the history of Ireland’s most famous beer with seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped in the form of a pint of Guinness. The ground floor introduces the beer’s four ingredients (water, barley, hops and yeast), and the brewery’s founder, Arthur Guinness.
The journey continues up the rest of the seven floors explaining the history of beer with stories told through various interactive exhibition areas including ingredients, brewing, transport, cooperage, advertising and sponsorship.
The building in which the Storehouse is located was constructed in 1902 as a fermentation plant for the St. James’s Gate Brewery (where yeast is added to the brew). The building was the first multi-story steel-framed building to be constructed in Ireland. The building was used continuously as the fermentation plant of the Brewery until its closure in 1988, when a new fermentation plant was completed near the River Liffey.
It’s located in the heart of the St. James’s Gate Brewery which I found completely adorable with it brick buildings and horses around every corner.
We did the self tour which was perfect. And I really enjoyed learning more about the beer making process and what makes Guinness so special (pssst they have their own famous strain of yeast). Some pics fer ya laddies.
But the big finale was the Gravity Bar at the top which you can only reach with a paid ticket to the Guinness Storehouse. The ticket does include a free pint of Guinness from the Gravity Bar. Not only do you get to enjoy a perfectly brewed glass of Guinness but you can drink it overlooking Dublin’s famous rooftops with a 360° views of Dublin’s magnificent skyline.
Dublin is such a fun city! And the beer isn’t too shabby either. I like my Guinness with a touch of black currants. Go to the Guinness Storehouse for a new cold one this St. Patty’s Day! And don’t forget to drink responsibly. Sláinte!!
